# hi there!

welcome! this piece of content is being served to you over a peer serving `jax`,
 a e2e encrypted and p2p content sharing protocol.

## p2p?

peer-to-peer (p2p) protocols allow for direct communication between peers without the need for a central server.
`jax` is implemented using a handy p2p framework called [iroh](https://www.iroh.computer/docs).
basically `jax` peers can work anywhere, and sync themselves together without the need of a central coordinator,
 such as you need using something like Dropbox or Google Drive.

## e2e encrypted? wdym?

every piece of content you interact with through `jax` is encrypted and then shared to other peers
 through ECDH key sharing.
this way, you can safely share the content of your bucket with untrusted storage providers or backends.
only peers that you explicitly share your content with can access it!
